I was rereading the Da Vinci Code and I just began thinking what if the sugar bowl was sort of like the Holy Grail. What if it only symbolizes an even bigger thing? Don't forget that there are tons of censorship and codes the VFD use to get messages across. Maybe the Sugar Bowl is not a sugar bowl at all but something more. I mean both sides of the schism want it. One side wants it burned the other wants to protect it. I might just be looking too hard into the books. Next I'm going to hypothesize that Dan Brown and Daniel Handler are one in the same.

I don't know... I think that the sugar bowl has information that can put Olaf or Esme in jail.

My top choice of what is in the sugar bowl, is a tape recorder. Someone probably recorded a messege in a resteraunt about the bad side of VFD.

I wonder if the sugar bowl had any actual sugar on it. May be illegal sugar... cocaine (lol)
Seriously though, I still keep thinking that there must be more to the Sugar bowl than what is already told. The sugar bowl for all we know could be an anagram to something else or a code about some secrets. Knowing the patterns of Mr. Snicket it may just be some type of obscure device or thing that one would probably have never thought of. Quite a vague theory but yet a theory nonetheless.

Ok... whatever... the sugar bowl is and always will be a sugar bowl. Geez... now I know how Robert Langdon felt trying to explain the truth behind the Holy Grail (that it wasn't a grail but a person and a series of documents).
